BFGoodrich launches
All-Terrain KO3 in Australia

Finally the embargo has lifted and we can shout it from the rooftops! The BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO3 is HERE. The highly anticipated next generation of the all-terrain, handle-anything-you-throw-at-it tyre is available down under. Director Peck here, my fellow Director Rachel and I were invited to the Global launch of the KO3 - our first automotive product launch representing WinA which was rather exciting!

And when I say Global launch I mean Global - every big wig associated with the tyre had made their way over from BFGoodrich’s HQ in the USA and around Asia to join us in putting the tyre to test at the renowned Sirromet winery which caters to high profile, off road vehicle and product launches on the regular - the perfect location to host such a grand event.

Amongst invited guests were a number of automotive media but it was BFGoodrich’s high profile ambassadors that stole the show - influencer Andrea Hobbs, Dakar/Baha race Winner Toby Price and Mighty Car Mods/Australian Top Gear’S Blaire Joscelyn to name a few.

Over the two days, we were treated to an action packed, magnificently organised event schedule that included loads of driving, eating, wine tasting and a spot of golf. BFGoodrich had thought of everything. But enough about the pleasantries.. how was the tyre?!

The answer is, quite remarkable. Through the full day of back-to-back off-road courses that were designed to test the tyre and educate us on its capabilities, it was evident that this was a thoroughly considered project for BFGoodrich.

The KO3 is their 5th generation of the all-terrain tyre, a category BFG created in 1976.

As vehicles are becoming more demanding, more powerful and more capable, BFGoodrich’s aim was to design a tyre able to handle these growing requirements. The key takeaways were the improvements on the tyre treadwear, the toughness and the traction. All areas have been significantly and noticeably improved since the KO2, including the rubber which is basically Toby Price race spec.

When Women in Automotive transition from city spec supercars to fully off road.. we know who we’ll be calling to fit us out with tyres!

Thanks for having us BFGoodrich.
